Course Description

This course is suitable for beginners and advanced students of ceramics. It will include creating sculptures, tiles as well as vessels in clay using, modelling, hand building, press-moulding and throwing techniques. Students will also be introduced to slip decoration and shown how to use oxides and glazes to finish their work. While beginners will be given a general introduction to the various making techniques, advanced students can focus and further develop the methods of their choice.
