Overview
Make-up Artistry is the ideal course for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the Film, Theatre and beauty industries. This course provides learners with an introduction to the skills required to work as a make-up artist. Students will learn practical skills in make-up application and skincare to simulation of wounds & special effects for Film, TV and Theatre.
As part of this course students create make-up looks for film shoots, fashion shows, magazine shoots and theatrical performances and in the process develop a comprehensive portfolio featuring a range of different looks.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate (LC Established, LCVP or LCA) or equivalent
For mature applicants appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Students should present samples of drawing or design work at interview

Work Placement/Experience
Participants will be required to undertake 10 days of work placement in a relevant location. The College will assist participants in identifying suitable placements.
