Masters Re-mastered – Illustration Student’s Exhibition

Illustration students from St John’s Central College pay homage to the permanent collection of the Crawford Art Gallery, with an exhibition entitled “Masters Re-mastered”.  

Selected pieces have been recreated photographically, with the subtle inclusion of a contemporary element.

These photographs are then digitally manipulated, or ‘re-mastered’ to create an exhibition of iconic work with some surprising twists.

The exhibition will be held at Crawford Art Gallery, Emmet Place from June 20th to June 28th and will include , a  selection of ‘before & after’ images, finished pieces and a video, demonstrating the ‘process.’

All finished pieces, glazed and framed to classical proportions, will be displayed upstairs at the Bodega.
