Interior Design & Textiles QQI Level 4
Overview
This course offers a valuable introduction to the core aspects of Interior Design, including concept development, design principles, space planning, architectural drawing, colour, lighting and materials. It is suitable for individuals who wish to develop a range of creative skills and apply them to their own personal spaces and those who would like to explore this as a career option.
The textiles module will focus on the technique of batik, a unique art form using hot wax and fabric dye to create amazing patterns and designs. During the course participants will experiment with interesting batik techniques such as etching and will plan, develop and produce unique textiles for interior spaces.
Extra Modules
Students are encouraged to take on extra modules on top of their 2 core subjects to enable them to achieve a full award at level 4 QQI. All applicants will have an informal interview in September and will be given the opportunity to choose extra modules as required.
