Course Outline
In this relaxing friendly class you will acquire lots of new skills.
This 8-week beginner’s course in woodwork will introduce participant to the basics of hand tool woodworking. All tools, equipment and materials are provided.
During the 8 weeks students will complete a number of pieces.
Along with the making of these projects, the following topics are covered during the course:
1: Buying timber locally
2: Wood characteristics
3: Purchasing tools
4: Sharpening
5: Finishing
There is no pressure placed on students to get projects finished. The main goal is for students to enjoy themselves and to learn some new skills in a friendly creative atmosphere.
